What Sets Experts Apart?
10,000 Hours Or Not
There’s a subtle way to determine if someone is an expert.
It has nothing to do with the quality of their work.
It’s how unfazed they are by mistakes. They’re willing to take a few shots in the general area to figure it out, confident they can quickly course-correct.
A boxing class sparked this idea. The trainer couldn’t remember a combo, so he ran through variations to see what felt right.
This is a much faster and smoother approach than figuring everything out beforehand.
What do you feel brave enough to mess up?
