At first this seemed like genuine excitement. This, in combination with the widespread doomscrolling about the software job market however, indicate something more sinister going on.
Software Engineers have been paid handsomely for decades. The goal of these narratives is to incite feelings of low self worth and drive the price down.
It’s not ok.
But soon it won’t matter.
