Surfing The Wave
Hang Ten Not Required
Building a product is like surfing. You either catch the wave or not.
Don’t worry about measuring product-market fit. It will be so obvious when it happens that a slew of scalability, support and supply problems are created.
The trick is to not keep pushing to catch a wave when it’s not strong enough or technique is off. It’s better to relax and re-set for the next, conserving unspent energy for new momentum.
False starts are a prerequisite to success.
