OpenAI Will Surpass Apple
There's A New Player
Apple hasn’t had a real challenger as the kings of innovation in decades. Until now. It speaks to their regard for OpenAI that they so willingly imprinted their brand into their devices for Apple Intelligence. Something Google and Microsoft have been fighting tooth and nail over for eons. OpenAI has recently merged/acquired with IO to hire Jony Ive and build physical devices with AI. The Altman/Ive combo has such a Jobs/Woz or Sergei/Larry feel that it’s absurd.
With all this said, it may seem wise to buy stock in OpenAI. Unfortunately, pre-IPO stock is sketchy territory. It’s also highly priced, as the market is aware of the potential.
At almost $500 per share, it’s hard to believe that if it did IPO, it would enter the market this high. So I’m holding out for an IPO before buying.
This isn’t the usual focus of this newsletter, but I couldn’t resist getting this hot take on record.
