Building On Top
Zeroing In
If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

ProNotes is a recent discovery that solves Apple Notes not having Markdown in an ingenious way. Adding Markdown. Taking a step back, there’s two ways this could be approached.
1. Build Apple Notes again with Markdown
Also needs special iCloud syncing capabilities and an application across all Apple devices. Not to mention scaling it to millions of users. Plus many other things. Many have tried this already, to varying degrees of success.
2. Add Markdown to Apple Notes
Imminently more elegant. It taps into Apple Notes existing 700M users and it has no learning curve.
Both solve the problem. The second is vastly superior for vastly less work. Kudos to Dexter Leng for taking the road less traveled.
It seems so obvious when it’s framed like this.
But so many, including me, chose option one and suffer the consequences.
